The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the industry are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without the certification.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that measure the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly efficient and professional and will do the job correctly the first time. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment. Call 352-374-6602 to have one of our NATE-Certified experts inspect your HVAC system to be sure that it is equipped to ensure your family’s comfort all year long.
