Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their company vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to fundraise for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the amount of cases is actually declining each year, that still constitutes a large number of families who are grappling with this disease, and therefore we have an urgent need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s sentiments. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in the state – for women and men.”
